Recently Julie completed a 200 hour yoga teacher certification class –she has been teaching since December, 2013 offering classes in Belfair, Bremerton and Retreats in the area. Deciding to complete a 200 hour teaching certification does not come easy, as you might expect it’s quite a commitment. You don’t know exactly where it will lead, you just are on a journey–taking your practice to another level. The other day she got to stop in and practice with friends at Harmony Hill: http://harmonyhill.org/ this was a long overdue visit, a beautiful practice in the Yurt with Denise who offered in yoga: “We are all beginners” Ahhhh-Ha–so true!
There can be an expectation on ourselves to be more than we are–“you’re a teacher–now what??!” The expectation to share your practice with others, coming out of your comfort zone on the mat of your own practice–practicing with others—sharing — allowing yourself to be vulnerable/true.
It was then that Julie was asked to share her teaching schedule–friends would want to know where to join her. Huh? And then last weekend while travelling we got to take a class in Ashland, Or–it was a Yoga Retreat as we stayed with the teacher then went to her class offering the next morning. That’s a great idea!!
Perhaps some of our Siloam guests would also like to know where Julie is teaching and how to meet up to join in a yoga class. We will be posting her teaching schedule on the website calendar. Join in, here, there, or anywhere—she offers private instruction, group instruction and is sensitive to meet you where you’re at on the mat. Currently she is teaching at Viva Flow: http://www.vivaflowyoga.com/ Mondays 11:45-12:15, Tuesdays 8-9 AM; 11:45-12:15; Thursdays 11:45-12:15 and at the Bremerton Family YMCA: http://www.ymcapkc.org/bremerton-family-ymca/ where she offers an Aqua Yoga Class Tuesdays/Thursdays 3-3:45 PM and Yoga Tuesdays/Thursdays 1:15-2:15 PM.
Cheers & Blessings ~
