We have something to celebrate here at Siloam Retreat & Wine Shop. It seems we have a below average carbon footprint:
And….we have taken steps to reduce this even further by planting 25 trees this year and beginning an acutal compost system.
Siloam is located in rural, scenic Seabeck on the Upper Hood Canal near the Tahuya State Forest; we have always done some form of compost from worm bins to feed the fish in the pond to natural composting. Since taking the Washington State University Extension Master Gardener Program we have learned more about composting and will set up an actual compost area where guests will be encouraged to compost.
