Wine Tasting

As  we fast approach February, the second month in the New Year- it is our sincere hope that everyone is having a Winederful start to 2010!!!

February is a great month for Wine and Romance.  It’s the time to express your love for one another and enhance your love for wine.  A time to pair great red wines with great chocolates.

At Siloam Retreat & Wine Shop in scenic Seabeck, Washington; we are trying to put together an inaugural night of Red Wine, Chocolate, and Tango.  We have attended a night of Tango before and found that it was just as imagined very romantic; watching the Tango instructors glide across the floor not as two bodies but one and then the quick split to two and back to one…….daring to imagine that perhaps we could be so graceful.

Then our turn……not so much, but it was fun we met some great people, shared some wine and a fantastic night.  We are in the process of putting this together, recruiting dancers and getting the shop ready.

There are several other Red Wine & Chocolate events we would recommend and just a note the difference between an event at Siloam Retreat & Wine Shop versus any other Wine Tasting Events is that the other tasting room events will be packed; open to the public and as we commonly refer to these type of events will resemble “Combat Tasting” you’ll be lucky if you can get up to the tasting bar and if you get any information about the wines you are drinking.  That being said the events can be fun if you like to go wine tasting with hundreds of other people.

At Siloam Retreat & Wine Shop our events are private, more intimate and extravagant created just for you and your group- limited in size and oodles of personal attention from the Innkeepers, Owners and Wine Consultants.  There really is not comparison to the two types of wine tastings.
