The Prayer Flag Project

For Immediate Release: 7/16/2016

Belfair, WA: Siloam will participate in the Prayer Flag Project at the monthly Yoga Teacher Training/Day Retreat on Sunday, July 24th. The Retreat focus is the history, philosophy, and wisdom of Yoga. Julie Forville, owner of Siloam is an E-RYT 200 (experienced-registered yoga teacher with over 200 hours in training and teaching). Siloam is the Yoga School and name of the business providing retreat services. The word Siloam comes from Hebrew, in the City of David-Jerusalem there is the pool of Siloam; known for its healing waters.

Prayer Flags are part of an ancient Buddhist tradition. It is believed that the prayers on the flags are lifted to God and spread throughout the universe as they flutter in the wind.  Everyone who is touched by that wind is touched by the prayers.  The wind spreads the prayers through the world, extending happiness, good will, and peace.  The Prayer Flag Project was started by Vivika Hansen DeNegre for more information about the Prayer Flag Project:

Siloam’s Prayer Flag Project will start on Sunday, July 24th at the Yoga Teacher Training/Day Retreat and pass through the yoga classes that Julie teaches including the SilverSneakers Yoga Class at Faith In Action Senior Center-The HUB in Belfair where they hope to hang the flags at Tuesday’s class on August 16th 10:30-11:30 AM.
