“They were great with being abe to fit us in on short notice during a weekday. Pre-wedding coordination was great and we couldn’t have asked for better service and a great atmosphere. We can’t say thank you enough. It got some of our guests interested in using the venue for other events.” Greg-Wedding 12/15/2010
“Julie and Jeff provided everything we asked for and then some. They went above and beyond to ensure the event was sucessful. Everyone had a good time at the reception and the ceremony was perfect. Great venue too in front of the waterfall!!!!” Tim & Lori-Wedding 03/27/2010
We sampled a really nice Claret the other night and realized, wondered, and thought……what is the difference between Bordeaux, Claret, and Meritage? Blends can be confusing………..we know we liked this Claret, sampled another on Sunday- not so much~ interesting, right?….
Same grapes, ie. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, etc…….. Bordeaux is the original appellation in France where the blend originated. Claret is an old English term for Bordeaux wines. Meritage is typically applied to California wines made up of the same grapes (ex. Insignia) http://www.jpvwines.com/wine/wine/136/ . We have also sampled White Meritage, Bordeaux blends are not only red but white as well. The more you drink, the more you think, the more you drink, the more you know. Drink more wine!!
